Scheduled and Non-Scheduled Bank

Scheduled Bank:

These are those banks which have been included in the second schedule RBI Act 1934.

The bank included in this scheduled list should be a full-fill different condition:

  • Paid-up capital & collected fund should not be less than 5 lakhs
  • Any activity of bank will not adversely be affected the interest of their depositor.
  • There are some banks to maintain CRR, SLR.

Non-scheduled Banks:

The non-scheduled banks are not eligible for having loans from RBI for meeting their day to day general activity but in the emergency condition, those banks can be granted loan by RBI.
